Microsoft Teams celebrates its birthday

5 years of Microsoft Teams!!! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

One of the first programmes to open first thing in the morning: Microsoft Teams. Since the start of the coronavirus pandemic at the latest, this all-rounder has become an integral part of everyday business life – at least in most companies. It’s hard to believe that the app celebrated its fifth birthday last week.

Microsoft Teams was launched in 2017 and is now the number one collaboration tool. The platform offers companies a solution that brings all digital tools together in one place. Collaboration in the modern age looks different than it did a few years ago and the way we communicate has also changed; and Microsoft Teams has also constantly evolved and adapted to modern requirements and needs.

We show how Microsoft Teams has developed

According to Microsoft, there are around 270 million users who work with Teams every day. Yet it is so much more than just a communication tool: networking with each other, exchanging information and mastering and driving projects forward together. However, with the pandemic and safety measures such as social distancing, digital game nights, joint birthday parties or a cosy evening with friends via Teams are no longer a rarity: the world has changed, the way we work has changed and Microsoft Teams has also evolved.

From communication to collaboration

Initially, the solution was only intended for communication purposes, but this is hardly the case today. Instead, Teams has grown into a true all-rounder, an absolute collaboration platform. Files, chats, Microsoft applications and third-party solutions come together here. The all-rounder thus offers independent teams as well as small and medium-sized companies and global corporations everything they need today. Microsoft Teams for modern collaboration.

Flexible working has arrived and is here to stay

Since the weekend, most of the coronavirus restrictions have been lifted, leaving many entrepreneurs with the question: home office, office or both? The switch to this hybrid model of hybrid working presents a new challenge: working when and from where you want. Flexible working is here to stay!!! And it will. After all, the last 2 years have proven that home office and remote working work extremely well. These new employment opportunities have brought clarity to many people: flexible working creates more time for family, friends and leisure.

However, it is important to emphasise that many teams are thus physically isolated from each other, which means that digital exhaustion is an increasing burden. According to a study in which more than 30 thousand people were surveyed, employees want a healthy balance of on-site, i.e. office, and remote work, i.e. working from home. It is therefore important to get the best out of remote work and the working world in the office.

With Microsoft Teams, people can connect and collaborate from anywhere. Teams for productivity, connectedness, a place of well-being.

Microsoft Teams is constantly evolving and we are looking forward to many more cool new features.
