Microsoft has announced the launch of Release Wave 1 for Dynamics 365 in 2023, including the supply chain platform. During this period, numerous new features will be released for the entire Dynamics 365 suite of applications. The release schedule extends from April 2023 to September 2023.

- Customisable preference centres

- Urchin Tracking Module (UTM)
In Sales, enhanced sequencing capabilities, actionable AI-powered suggestions, an updated form layout and a new opportunity management workspace will be introduced. In addition, the Sales application includes improved email templates, content suggestions, SMS functions and various new options for creating, refining and optimising sales sequences.
Dynamics 365 Customer Service
Customer Service will help employees work more efficiently through improvements to voice capabilities, unified routing, integrated Microsoft Teams collaboration and elements of the agent workspace. These improvements will enable the team to provide timely and satisfactory solutions to customer enquiries.
Dynamics 365 Field Service
Further improvements to the new scheduling area for dispatchers will be introduced for Field Service. This will support frontline employees and enable them to view their appointments in Outlook and find information faster through an improved global search.
Dynamics 365 Finance
New features for Finance focus on improving the visibility of company data, continuing the automation of financial processes and expanding out-of-the-box country coverage in LATAM. In addition, there will be improvements in the automation of complex tax scenarios, full automation of accounts payable and debit reconciliations to speed up closing and allow finance users to focus on value-adding activities.
Dynamics 365 Customer Insights
Upcoming features of Dynamics 365 Customer Insights will include better data interoperability and governance capabilities that enable control and restriction of access to data, configurations and actions. In addition, there will be an increased focus on application lifecycle management and enterprise lifecycle management, as well as improved activation capability through tighter integration with Microsoft Dataverse. Users will also benefit from navigation assistance, AI-powered suggestions and task support to enable deeper insights with less time spent.
