Microsoft has announced the upcoming release of the 2023 Release Wave 1 plan for Dynamics 365 and the supply chain platform. The release plan covers hundreds of new features across the entire Dynamics 365 suite of applications, set to be released from April 2023 to September 2023.

Dynamics 365 Marketing
Marketing will receive new features aiming to increase organisational efficiency and improve the analysis of campaigns’ impacts. New features include:
- Brand new B2B analytics dashboard
- Customisable preference centres
- Frequency Capping
- Multiple email recipient activation
- Urchin Tracking Module (UTM)
Dynamics 365 Sales
Sales will gain enhanced sequence capabilities, actionable AI-powered suggestions, an updated form layout and a new opportunity management workspace.
The Sales application will also include improved email templates, content suggestions, SMS capabilities and various new abilities to create, loop and optimise sales sequences.
Dynamics 365 Customer Service
Customer Service is set to empower agents to work more efficiently with enhancements to voice features, unified routing, embedded Microsoft Teams collaboration and elements of the agent workspace. These enhancements will enable agents to work more effectively in providing timely and satisfactory resolutions to customer queries.
Dynamics 365 Field Service
Continued improvements to the new schedule board for dispatchers are headed to Field Service, supporting frontline workers and more by allowing them to see their appointments in Outlook and find information faster through an improved global search.
Dynamics 365 Finance
New features for Finance are focused on enhancing an organisation’s visibility into their data, continuing finance automation and expanding out-of-the-box country coverage in LATAM. In addition, there will be enhancements to the automation of intricate tax scenarios, complete automation of accounts payable and ledger settlements to speed up the close and empower finance users to concentrate on high-value activities.
Dynamics 365 Customer Insights
The upcoming features headed to Dynamics 365 Customer Insights will include better data interoperability and governance features that allow for control and restriction of access to data, configurations and actions.
Additionally, there will be an increased focus on application lifecycle management and enterprise lifecycle management, as well as enhanced activation capabilities through a tighter integration with Microsoft Dataverse.
Users will also benefit from navigational guidance, AI-powered suggestions and task assistance, allowing for deeper insights with less time investment.
