What is Microsoft Azure?
Microsoft Cloud
Cloud computing means using a network of remote servers hosted on the internet to store, manage and process data, rather than on local servers or a PC. In other words, computing power and digital storage space that can be accessed online. The Microsoft Cloud offers this from various globally distributed data centers – including in Germany. These data centers are grouped together under the name “Microsoft Azure”
Software as a Service – SaaS
The term “SaaS” (Software-as-a-Service) is often used in connection with the cloud. With a SaaS version, you rent software as a cloud version, which means that all your data is in the cloud.
When setting up your cloud, you decide on the localization and the location. The monthly or annual subscription provides you with full Azure performance and storage space – in the selected data center. You always pay for exactly what you need.
