Numerous improvements will be available to companies from 1 October 2025 &#8211; with a focus on artificial intelligence, automation, international scaling and a more modern developer experience. <\/p>\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Copilot &amp; KI: Business Central becomes more intelligent<\/h1>\n\n<p>The new release wave makes the &#8220;Sales Order Agent&#8221; significantly more powerful. It now also takes on complex tasks such as: <\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Processing of multi-ship-to scenarios<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Processing of PDF attachments<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Automatic availability checks<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Context-related communication by e-mail<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>In addition, Copilot functions can be extended in a targeted manner for the first time: developers can integrate their own assistance functions via AL code &#8211; e.g. summaries, input aids or suggestions in the work process.<\/p>\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Global extensions &amp; compliance<\/h1>\n\n<p>The release wave brings targeted enhancements for various countries:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>UK: Functional expansion for the British market<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>USA: Integration of the IRS-1099 API<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Australia: new requirements in payment reporting<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Czech Republic: Optimisation of the user interface<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>These customisations increase usability in international scenarios and support regional compliance requirements.<\/p>\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Developer friendliness: More options for individual customising<\/h1>\n\n<p>Wave 2 also makes Business Central more attractive for developers:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Copilot can be customised directly via AL code<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Integration with Copilot Studio<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Extended debugging options<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Additional events for expandability<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>This makes the realisation of individual requirements in the standard much more flexible &#8211; while at the same time improving the development and testing process.<\/p>\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">E-commerce: Extended integration with Shopify<\/h1>\n\n<p>For retail companies, the new version brings valuable enhancements in interaction with Shopify:<\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Targeted assignment of employees to sales roles<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Improved customer allocation in the ordering process<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Management of country-specific prices<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p>Business Central is thus moving closer to the requirements of modern online shops.<\/p>\n\n<h1 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Subcontracting &amp; contract manufacturing<\/h1>\n\n<p>The control of external production processes is significantly better supported.
